《英语课程标准》（实验稿）指出：“教师在教学过程中要处理好传授知识与培养能力的关系，注重发展学生的综合语言运用能力，使语言学习的过程成为学生形成积极的情感态度、主动思维、大胆探究和形成自主学习能力的过程。”然而，传统的教学模式让学生成了忠实的观众，学生的思维总是限于老师设计的圈子中，无法扩展。

这样的课堂不仅显得缺乏生气，而且忽略了学生自主性、创造性的学习潜能。为改变这一教学现状，教育教学中，我确定“以人为本”的.教育理念，遵循“以学生发展为目标”的原则，将学生自主学习能力的培养视为指导思想。帮助学生自主学习、自主发展，成为课堂的主人。下面的一些做法供同行们商讨。

一、营造有利于自主学习的氛围，让学生“敢”学

教育教学中，我改变“教师是主角，学生是观众”的被动局面，使学生从“怕”的阴影中解脱出来。融洽师生关系，树立学生的参与愿望；
营造民主的氛围，激发学生的参与热情。课堂上，我常充当“孩子王”，与学生一起动一动，唱一唱，玩一玩，引导学生大胆、积极、主动地学习。

二、激发学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生“乐”学

常言道：知之者不如好知者，好之者不如乐之者。为引导学生积极、主动、自觉地投入到学习中去，课堂上，我采用了一些比较成功的教法与手段。

1. 运用丰富多样的教学手段

三年级学生年龄小，都有好奇、好动的天性。教学中，我从学生的心理特点出发，运用新颖、多样的教学方法，使课堂趣味化、多样化、游戏化。如：教学 Primary English（小学英语）Book 1 Unit 5 Lesson 2（第一册第五单元第二课）时，我让女同学扮演做“Pizza”（比萨饼）的“Cook”（“厨师”），戴上头饰，演一演，做一做，并当小老师，其他学生跟着他们说英语。这样，学生在演中学、乐中学，整个身心都能享受学习的乐趣，从而积极主动地投入到学习中来。

2. 提供自主活动的时间和空间

教学食物类英语单词时，我让学生提前准备好实物和自制图画，并带到课堂上来。当我说到自己饿了或渴了的时候说：“Bread/Apple/..., please.”引导学生把它递过来，并对我说：“Here you are.”（“给你”）操练会话时，允许学生找出自己的搭档互分角色进行操练。我还利用有趣的游戏活动，鼓励学生真正动起来，说起来，唱起来，画起来等。

三、教给学生自主学习的方法，使其“会”学

教育不只是教给学生知识，更重要的是教给学生自主学习的方法。教学中，我常对学生的学法进行有意的渗透与指导。

1. 学习语言知识，要温故而知新。

2. 学用结合，合作互动，相互交际。

3. 敢于进行自主探究性学习，发展个性与能力。

学生学会了学习，老师的教育教学就会更有劲头，师生在教学中就会体验到更多的乐趣与喜悦，真正达到教学相长。
